History of Nadzor
In 1990 Nadzór reactivated itself after the 2 years military service. The composition and the style of Nadzór however changed. Zeman played the drums and Szpila focused on vocal only. Piotr Żemła (Młody) took over the guitar and Dziunia, who previously played in a band called Haron played the bass. Nadzór gave a few concerts, among others, next to a Norwegian band- So Much Hate. They also appeared on a rock forum in ZSRR and at a festival in Jarocin in 1991 at a small stage where their old fans did not react very enthusiastically. In Jarocin, Nadzór performed without Szpila who could not reach an agreement with Zeman as to the style and type of music which Nadzór pursued. Due to constant personal changes as well as changes in music style, Szpila requested the band to change its name. He argued that they’ve gone too far away from Nadzór’s punk roots. As a result, Nadzór disintegrated at the beginning of 90’s.
In 1999 Szpila decides to reactivate Nadzór. Its cassette, along with a brochure in which Szpila described the history of the band was issued by “Trująca Fala”. Krzysztof Bubak (Kuksza) took over the drums and Tomasz Grzegorczyk (Fazi)- the bass. Newly composed Nadzór gave a few concerts. Nadzór once more came across KSU while performing in Brzeszcze, where Farben Lehre was also present. They also played with Eye for an Eye in Bielsko. While mostly performing their recordings from the 80’s, Nadzór also produced some new ones. Unfortunately, the late 90’s were not the best time for hardcore music because the teenagers were already fascinated by hip-hop and techno.
In 2002, Fazi leaves Nadzór and Kuksza moves to Northern Ireland in 2003.
In 2003 Nadzór once again ceases to exist.
In 2011 a band called Castet publishes EP ‘Perly z Lamusa’, including their cover of Nadzór’s ‘Z kamerą wśród zwierząt’.
In 2012 Ola Herbich from Quality Control based in London gets in contact with Szpila. He is now cooperating with her in order to publish Nadzór’s recordings. The CD should be ready by the end of 2013.
In 2012 Nadzór decides to reactivate again. Darek Lebiedziński joins Szpila and Kuksza. Nadzór is currently in Northern Ireland and focuses on issuing a CD containing 17 recordings from the album ‘Your toleranceis shit if you don’t try to understand us!’ from 1989. The CD should be released at the beginning of 2014.
